Robin Carhart-Harris, PhD
Robin Carhart-Harris, PhD, is the Ralph Metzner Distinguished Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry at UCSF and a leading researcher in psychedelic neuroscience. He founded Imperial College London’s Centre for Psychedelic Research and has led influential studies of psilocybin, LSD, MDMA, and DMT.

Pedram Dara is a former MDMA-assisted therapy clinical trial participant and founder and director of Psychedelic Lived Experiences, a patient-led initiative bringing lived experience and clinical science together to strengthen safety, ethics, and decision-making across psychedelic research, care, and policy.

The Psychedelic Lived Experiences Summit 2026 brings together patients, trial participants, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and organizations to examine safety, real-world outcomes, and support gaps after psychedelic treatment. Taking place online November 20–22 under the theme Beyond the Protocol, the summit features nine working roundtables and three synthesis panels, each organized around practical questions about better research and care. The independent summit is built and led by people with firsthand experience of psychedelic trials and treatments. It creates space for lived experience to help shape the agenda. Session outputs will inform a post-summit paper documenting findings, gaps, and priorities. Organized by Psychedelic Lived Experiences and hosted by Pedram Dara.
